In
science,
Libb Thims is an American chemical engineer, electrical engineer,
thermodynamicist, known for the publication of the 2007 textbook
Human Chemistry, the first of its kind to outline the fundamentals of matching humans in relationships, in general sense and through online pair connections. [1] Thims is founder and CEO of the developmental beta-stage,
science-based pair-matching site
ReactionMatch, a dating situated on the premise of matching people in "
love the
chemical reaction", based on the
human elective affinity theories of German polymath
Johann von Goethe , a dating/matching site scheduled to launch in
circa 2012. [2]
YouTube's
Human Chemistry 101 channel, started in 2008 by Thims, is a semi-weekly educational video series on the
chemistry of
human interactions, which outlines many of the basic principles of human matching in the formation of human chemical bonds.
Thims' work and research in the areas of
human chemistry and
human thermodynamics form much of the algorthimic basis of reaction matching, which equates to the measurement and determination of
free energy compatibilities.
