Education
McGraw completed a BA in psychology in 1975 from Midwestern State University, an MA in experimental psychology in 1976, and a PhD in clinical psychology in 1979, from the University of North Texas.

Overview
In April 1998, McGraw began appearing weekly as a "Relationship and Life Strategy Expert" on Tuesdays in the Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2000, he published the book The Relationship Rescue and in 2006 published Love Smart: Find the One You Want—Fix the One You Got. [1] In 2005 entered into a strategic partnership with Match.com on a new marketing campaign called "MindFindBind".
